The maze represents the receptacle for our memories, aspirations, identities, fantasies, stories we’ve decided to tell ourselves that we can’t let go.
The project was created in a time I felt I had lost the thread on which my past, present, future was tethered to. Grief on one side, jubilance on the other. Two emotions on extreme ends of the spectrum to be reconciled. Yet, they may never.
It is structured around the notions of choice, chance and control; a portrait of someone stuck in their narrow conception of an ideal self and their subsequent unravelling.
